Publishing from Lightroom Classic
The ShootCal Galleries publish plugin turns a Lightroom Classic published collection into a client gallery — publish once, re-publish after edits, and it stays in sync, including your custom photo order.
Install the plugin
- Download the plugin and unzip it. Inside is ShootCal-Galleries.lrplugin (on some systems it looks like a plain folder — that's normal).
- In Lightroom Classic, open File → Plug-in Manager, click Add, and pick the .lrplugin.
- In the Publish Services panel (left side of the Library module), set up ShootCal Galleries and sign in with your studio email and password.
Signed up with Google? The plugin signs in with email + password, so create one first: galleries Settings → set a password (one time, your Google sign-in keeps working everywhere else).
Publish a gallery
Create a published collection under ShootCal Galleries, drop photos in, and hit Publish. Uploads go directly to cloud storage — a 1,500-photo wedding doesn't crawl through our web server — and if an upload is interrupted, the next publish heals it automatically. The collection's name becomes the gallery. If a gallery with the same name already exists — like the one created when your client booked in the ShootCal app — the photos upload straight into it instead of making a duplicate. Your custom order comes along. Drag photos into any order in the collection and that exact order is what clients see, every publish. (Galleries can also be switched to date-taken or filename order — the order dropdown is right on the gallery's manage page.) Re-publishing updates in place. Re-edit a photo, publish again, and the gallery copy is replaced — no duplicates, and removals sync too.
Good to know
- Favorites your client picked survive re-publishes — they're tied to the photo, not the upload.
- The gallery's shoot date fills automatically from the photos (or from the client's booking when the gallery was created from the ShootCal app).
- Deleted the gallery in the web admin? The next publish of its collection quietly creates a fresh one — nothing errors.
